Abbot Village, Maine - Beverly (Whiting) Smith, 76, of Abbot Village, Maine, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025. She was born December 11, 1949, in Dover-Foxcroft, a daughter of Norman and Barbara (Bickford) Whiting.
She lived a life of caring for those around her. She was always willing to give what she had and to help those where she was able to. She enjoyed spending time with her children and spending precious moments with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
On November 20, 2025, Beverly was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly (Simpson) Anderson. During Kim's service, many spoke of her kind heart and generous spirit. Beverly was the source of that kindness and generosity. She taught her children to be kind and care for those around them, a legacy that will endure.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Angela Wilmot and her close friend, Gordon; son, Kenneth Simpson; and son, Kelly Simpson and his fiancée, Andrea Lane, and her son, Sam; grandson, Brandon Baird his wife, Christie, and their boys, Grayson and Mason; grandson, Trevon Baird and his girlfriend, Emily; grandson, Dawson Simpson and his wife, Lauren, and their daughter, Ariel; grandson, Matthew Burrill and his wife, Eleni, and their four children, Addyson, Amyah, Mely and Anthony; stepgrandsons, Tyler and Austin Mclaughlin; and stepgranddaughters, Shana and Megan Mclaughlin. She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen Smith; parents, Norman Whiting and Barbara (Bickford) Whiting; brother, Caroll Whiting; and her daughter, Kimberly (Simpson) Anderson.
A graveside service will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Blanchard Cemetery, Abbot Village, Maine.
