Madison, VA, Virginia - Brad Alston Bridge, 55, of Madison, VA, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Martha Jefferson House in Charlottesville, VA. He was born on October 18, 1969, in Dover-Foxcroft, ME, to the late Paul Wayne Bridge and Beverly Irene Titcomb.

Brad was raised in the small town of Parkman, Maine, and graduated with the class of 1988, from Piscataquis Community High School in Guilford. He went on to earn an associate degree in electronics from Eastern Maine Technical College in Bangor, graduating in 1990.

Early in his career, Brad worked in computer technology, spending three years at the University of New Hampshire while living in Wells and Eliot, Maine. He later took a similar position at Plymouth State College in New Hampshire, where he lived on Tenny Mountain and deepened his love for the outdoors.

His journey eventually led him south to Asheville, North Carolina, where he celebrated the birth of his first daughter, Maddy, later moving to Nellysford, Virginia, where his youngest daughter, Sophie, was born. Brad made lasting homes in various parts of Virginia, including Afton and eventually Madison, where he called home.

Brad's professional life was as varied and dynamic as his interests. After moving to Virginia, he held many jobs: UPS driver, hay farmer during Maine summers, grounds maintenance at the University of Virginia, and owner of a landscaping and mowing business. For the last seven years of his career, he pursued his passion for spirits and earned his General Certification in Distilling from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling in 2022.

Brad was a man who loved deeply and wholeheartedly, especially when it came to his family. His greatest joy came from the time spent with those he loved, whether gathered around the dinner table, sharing stories, or playing classic card games, particularly Bridge and Cribbage. These weren't just games to him, they were traditions, woven into the fabric of family gatherings. These games brought laughter, a little competition, and a lot of love, just like Brad himself.

A man who thrived outdoors, Brad found joy in any task that involved working with his hands, especially if it involved tractors or power equipment. Whether mowing lawns, farming, or fixing things, he was never happier than when behind the wheel of a machine or walking shaded trails, where the hush of the woods felt like home.

Brad had a deep appreciation for nature and physical activity. He loved skiing, golfing, hiking, and even accomplished the remarkable feat of hiking the Appalachian Trail during his lifetime. He also played basketball and soccer, often joining local pickup games in Madison, where his spirit and energy left a mark on everyone he met.

Brad will be remembered for his unwavering generosity, his love of family, his deep connection to nature, and his tireless work ethic. Whether he was lending a helping hand, playing cards, exploring a mountain trail, or simply riding a tractor under the open sky, Brad lived with quiet strength and boundless heart. His adventurous spirit, humble presence, and love for the outdoors touched everyone lucky enough to know him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and gratitude for the land, for life, and for those he loved.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dina Bridge; his daughters, Maddy Bridge and Sophie Bridge; his stepchildren, Morgan Bridge Kreh and husband, Alex, and Connor McClelland; his brother, Andrew Bridge and wife, Pam; his sister, Melanie Bridge; and numerous aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.

Services for Brad will be held privately.
