Sangerville, Maine - Dale B. Henderson, 86, passed away October 11, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born August 27, 1939, in Presque Isle, the son of Bernard and Eva (Roy) Henderson.

As most people who knew Dale, knew he built his life on hard work and grit. He spent his days behind the wheel of a truck, with his CB handle "Stogie," or in the seat of heavy equipment - machines many would find intimidating, but for him, they were like old friends. Whether he was hauling logs across long stretches of roads or shaping the land with a dozer or excavator, he took pride in doing the job right. He didn't cut corners and he never complained. That's just who he was - steady, dependable, and as tough as they come.

But beyond the work, there was the man. The man, who would come home tired, looked forward to a good meal with family. He was one who taught lessons without even realizing it, such as what it means to earn your way in life. He loved his family. We will miss his laugh, his quiet wisdom, his rough hands, and his strong heart. But we will carry him with us - in our stories, our memories in the way we face the world: with the same steady strength he always showed.

Dale is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty (Curtis); sons, Rick Henderson and wife, Kristi, Lyn Noiles, and Lorne Noiles and wife, Jody; daughters, Lori Rosebush and husband, Mark, Lois Shaw, and Lorene Larrabee and husband, Rick; and ten grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Richard and his wife, Nancy; and great-grandson, Colin.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, October 17, from 3-6 p.m. at Mt. Kineo Lodge, 34 Hudson Avenue, Guilford. Burial will be in the family lot at Morse's Corner Cemetery, Corinna.
