David L. Patterson

Dover-Foxcroft - David L. Patterson passed away Monday, August 19, 2019, at Eastern Maine Medical Center following a brief illness. David was born on November 28, 1947, in Dover-Foxcroft, to parents Paul K. and Helen London Patterson.
David was educated in Bangor Schools and graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1965. David also attended Bangor Community College.
David was a free spirit, always quick with a smile and a funny story. His wry sense of humor will be sadly missed by his family and life partner of more than 30 years, Cindy Weigert.
Throughout his life, David had a love for the culinary arts. He worked at the M&M restaurant while in high school and trained and worked as a chef in Florida for many years. Upon his return to Maine, David moved to Monson and was employed at the Moosehead Manufacturing Furniture Co. in various positions, retiring when the mill closed.
David spent some of his retirement summers owning and operating the Lobster Roll Express. Lovingly referred to by David as "Larry the Lunch Wagon", he cooked and provided food at various venues in Central Maine.
David is survived by his life partner, Cindy Weigert of Parkman; brothers, Rick Patterson of San Francisco, CA, Bob and Adena Patterson of Green Valley, AZ; nephew, Rob Patterson of Medway, MA, stepsister, Jane Hawksley of Chicago, IL; and stepbrothers, Eddie and Tom Atkins. David is also survived by cousins, Patty, Sherry, Lyn, Mike and Karol, who David considered brothers and sisters.
He was predeceased by his parents and beloved uncle and aunt, Neil and Faye Patterson and their son, Warren.
May you Rest in Peace.
