Sangerville, Maine - Douglas A. Haskell of Sangerville passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the age of 64. He was born February 21, 1962, in Dover-Foxcroft to A. William and Natalie Haskell.

After graduating from high school, Doug moved to California to pursue a career as a car salesman. It did not take him long to realize how much he missed his home in Maine, and he soon returned. Known for his strong work ethic, Doug spent most of his life in the well-drilling business, working alongside his father and brother before eventually taking the reins of Bill Haskell & Sons Well Drilling himself. Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, and time with family, but nothing came close to the joy he found in spoiling his grandchildren.

Doug leaves behind his siblings, Jackie Starbird (Derry), Warren Haskell (Linda), Darlene Burgess, and Mary Riitano and her partner, Joe Auger; children, Joshua Haskell (Julie) and Sandi Wilkins (Devon); and grandchildren, Blake, Chloe, and Hailee, who adored him. He was preceded in death by his parents, A. William "Bill" and Natalie Haskell; and his brothers, Michael and Rodney Haskell.

Doug will be remembered for his devotion to family, his hard work, and, above all, the love he had for his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
