Howell, MI, Michigan - Larry, age 84, of Howell, MI, passed away after a short illness, peacefully on April 14, 2026. He was the youngest of four children born to Paul and Lucille (Flatley) LaCroix in Detroit, MI, April 4, 1942. Larry was predeceased by his parents; and siblings, Estel (Don) McNeff, Donna (Bernie) Rothstein, and Thom (Carmen) LaCroix.

A devoted husband of 55 years to Beverly (Strout) LaCroix. Together they had five children, seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Anyone who knew Larry knew he was an avid Detroit Tiger's baseball fan his whole life and never missed a game! You could ask him anything about baseball, or throw any player's name at him, especially for the Tigers, and he could give you all their stats.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Bev; children, Christine (Uwe) Henkel of Australia, Dawn (Paul) Finnemore of Linden, MI, Debbie Gabel of Wixom, MI, David (Cheryl) Gabel of Howell, MI, and Danielle (John) Clark of Ypsilanti, MI. Also missing their grandpa is Bastian Henkel of Germany, Juliane (Cameron) Greenwood of Australia, Ashley (Dave) Beach of Fowlerville, MI, Samantha (Peter) Fleming of Pensacola, FL, Maiya and Taylor Clark, both of Ypsilanti, MI, and Shelby Gabel of Howell, MI. Larry was a loving great-grandpa to Sophia, Harry, Lucy and Ellie Greenwood, all of Australia, Carlotta Henkel of Germany, and Alex and Juliana Marshall of Fowlerville, MI. He will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, as well as friends and neighbors he met along the way during his journey through life.

Private family burial will be held in Dover-Foxcroft, ME, at a future date to be determined.
