Somerville, Massachusetts - Linda Huntington Cohen passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on March 30, 2026, at the age of 76. She was born on September 16, 1949, in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, to Howard Eugene Huntington and Gladys French Huntington.

She graduated from Foxcroft Academy in 1967, the University of Maine, Orono in 1972, and received her Masters of Education in 1996 from Plymouth (State) College. Linda was a special education teacher for nearly 30 years, retiring in 1998 from Piscataquis Community High School in Guilford, Maine. She also taught in the migrant worker program in Presque Isle, Maine, and served as Principal of McKusick Elementary in Parkman, Maine. She attended the Museum of Fine Arts school in Boston, receiving a graphic design certificate in 2002. Linda enjoyed painting, teaching art at the Somerville Council on Aging, traveling to Newport, RI, Europe, Bermuda, Alaska, and Hawaii, reading, knitting, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Bruce B. Cohen of Somerville, Massachusetts; her daughters and sons-in-laws, Amy and Adam Tambone of South Portland, Maine, and Erin and Rob Anderson of Park City, Utah. Her three grandchildren Arianna, Nathaniel and Ethan were the lights of her life.

She will be interred at the Centre Street cemetery in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the charity of your choice.
