Kokomo - Mark Gilbert Hanson Mark Gilbert Hanson, 62, Atkinson, ME and Kokomo, IN passed away on February 7, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo, IN, with his loving family at his side.
Mark was born in Hartford, CT on August 27, 1956 to Gilbert and Joyce (Kelley) Hanson.
He worked as a Millwright, Painter and Tree Climber.
The family moved to Indiana in 1996. His hobbies were hunting, fishing and camping and spending time with his granddaughters.
Mark attended Central High School in Corinth, ME. He also attended Abundant Life Church in Kokomo, IN.
Mark is survived by his mother Joyce Hanson of Dover-Foxcroft, wife Julie of Kokomo, IN; his children Chris, Corey and Katie Hanson, all of Kokomo, IN. A brother Steven H. and his wife Diane of Newport, ME; several nieces and nephews and a long time friend John Grell of Kokomo, IN.
He was predeceased by his father Gilbert D. Hanson, a sister Cathy and a brother Tim.
There will be a Committal Service in Atkinson at a later date.

He was my oldest son and he was a happy kid growing up, then things changed when he lost his father in a fishing accident, (he was there) & it changed his life forever. But, we had a lot of good times on Buck Hill, ( we called it that.?) We had a lot of good talks & a lot of laughs. I'll miss him until I can see him again ? Love you & miss you. Mark.

Mark was a friend since childhood. Our parents were friends which put us kids together allot as one family. Walk tall in Heaven. Tell your Dad and my Dad hiw very much they are missed. And hug Timmy and Cathy for all of us.

My cousin Mark was a sweet man. Always thought the world of him. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
