Parkman - Stephen Bradford Turnbull, 34, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 15, 2019 at his home. Born in Rockport on November 9, 1984, he was the son Stephen C. and Shirley (Quimby) Turnbull and was a member of the Class of 2002 at Camden-Rockport High School. During his high school years, he enjoyed writing songs, playing the guitar, and hanging out with his friends.
Following high school graduation, Steve worked with his father in their lawn care business. Steve's dream was to one day write a comic book and make it into an animated series.
Steve met Karen Gilbert from Parkman, they fell in love, and were married in 2012. For several years, they lived in Thomaston then moved to Parkman in 2014 to be near Karen's parents after the birth of their son, Jackson.
Steve had a life-long passion for music both new and old. He was an artist at heart and loved the outdoors, especially being near the ocean. His wry sense of humor was enjoyed by all who loved him. He loved making his son laugh.
Family was a very important part of Steve's life and he was very close to his parents, sister, aunts, and cousins, although the joy of his life was that of his son, Jackson.
Surviving is his wife, Karen Turnbull and their son, Jackson; his mother, Shirley Quimby and sister Shelby
Turnbull both of Waldoboro; father Stephen Turnbull and his wife Debbie of Rockland; his maternal grandparents, Charles and Patricia Quimby of Warren; mother-in-law, Tina Gilbert of Garland; brothers, Peter Quimby and John Held; aunts Kathleen Blood, Ruth Scott, and Monalisa Canfield and her husband, Timothy; brother-in-law, Darren Gilbert and husband, Richard of Hampden; sister-in-law, Phylicia Clukey and her husband, Jhon and their children, Austin and Natalie of Cambridge.

I got to know Stephen from working with him at BJ's Wholesale club. He was a very kind young man who often shared stories and experiences he had recently had with his young son. He was enjoyable to work with and when i knew he was working the same night as myself i knew my night would be better!
